Farce Blogica

So, as you can tell by the previous 11 or so posts, made from my iPod Touch (except for the one about songs, which I set to auto-update, in case something went wrong), I went and stole a baby.  However…. something went a tad bit awry in the process of transporting said baby back home.  Here’s a picture of him:

His Name Is Nick

You see, I accidentally wandered into a New Age haberdashery, and there happened to be a potato salesman there… and well, anyway, little Nick suffered a bit as a result, but I’m going to gussy him up, and make him presentable to the everyday zoo-going public.

Also, we’ve hit 18 hours, which is a time I like to call The Barrier.  After this point, no matter how good I’m feeling, if I go and find a nice dark place with a comfortable bed to lie down in, I will fall asleep within seconds.  So, CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

I’m gonna go pack and such, and then post when I’ve finished!

Y’see, carrying a laptop around for videographing purposes would be highly awkward, and potentially disastrous.  So, I need to steal a baby so it can hold my laptop for me.  Plus, babies make great base units of exchange.

In the past two hours, I cleared about 50 gigs of space on my laptop, finished off my Vault, chatted with the friend who is too busy stimulating the economy to look at animal wangs, and made a list of things to do and pack.  I still feel tired, but just a dull ache, that’s only strengthened by the lack of light.  Will get better during the day.

I finally get to buy some music!  YAY!!!  So, I’m gonna do that, make a list of everything I bought, and then GO STEAL A BABY.

Hopefully, I will return by 6.  Fortunately, with DST, everything will stay darker longer, so I have an improved chance of success.

Here’s hoping this doesn’t end very badly!

So, the past two hours have basically consisted of me preparing to clear out space on my computer so I can record vids tomorrow without fear of using up memory, and trying to rope people into going to the zoo with me.  My Facebook status is currently:

Bobby Lang

wants to know if anyone wants to skip class/job/WoW to go to the zoo today. There may be babies and the stealing thereof.”

Speaking of which, that latter topic will be discussed at greater length in two hours.  Anywho, my first request to go to the zoo was denied, because apparantly one needs money to survive, and the lottery isn’t as rigged as it used to be, so now many people are turning to the unthinkable: jobs.  Or at least the searching thereof.

“Thereof” is like tax evasion: a little goes a long way, but too much spoils the soup.

Anywho, I plan to watch Heroes and Dollhouse, drink more Vault, eat some cookies, organize more files, and harass more high schoolers to go to the zoo (and/or commit Grand Theft Infant) with me.

Sorry about the last couple official check-ins being very, very short.  So, I took the bus home, got there at about 8:20, checked my email, Facebook, Twitter, stuff like that, then got pulled into a UStream chat with the Headmistress of The Leaky Cauldron, a huge Harry Potter fansite.  And then I was going to do a longer post, but then I ended up watching “Harold and Maude”, and old film made in the 70′s, about a young dude and an old bird who attend funerals as a hobby.  Very, very funny.

Then I spent about half an hour killing ants, and thinking that “Poisoned Caulking” would be a good band name.  Around that time I started to feel tired, so I broke into the Vault, which really hasn’t affected me on way or another.  It’s not a good sign that I’m tired already, but I think it’s more that I know I’m going to be very tired later, and my body is exhausted in advance.  Hopefully tomorrow goes better.

Since then, I’ve been hanging out online, and I recorded the following video, about Reader’s Digest:

See you in 2 hours!

{March 9, 2009}   Hour 10: DIE ANTS, DIE!

I love the smell of Poisoned Caulk in the evening.

Instead of making a blog post, I watched a kitty dancing. Bigger post later.

{March 9, 2009}   Hour 6: Bleeeuuuuurrrgh

I really should stop reading on bus trips. I’ve always been susceptible to motion sickness in the car, but I used to be able to read on the bus. Alas, it seems those days have passed.

Anywho, I’ve noticed that another good thing about starting EQ2:IH at noon is that it’s easier to figure out how many hours I’ve been up. It’s 6 o’clock? I’ve been up for 6 hours!

At least, that trick will work for the first 6 check-ins…

Anywho, class is soon, and I’ll go there after reading a bit more fanfic. Waiting on word back from a friend about going to the zoo tomorrow. I think I may end up having to use my computer to record video. I mean, it records relatively high-quality video for a free add-on, however, carrying my laptop around the zoo, through the throngs of people will be awkward at best, and disastrous to the laptop itself at worst. However, I can also use the laptop like a boombox, and crank some tunes whilst I go to the zoo. Expect plenty of Simon and Garfunkel. *rimshot*

See y’alls in 14 minutes!

All I’ve done in the past 4 hours is pull my hair out over puzzles and eat some mac and cheese. Class in 2 hours, next update will be a bit early so I’m not late.

2 hours in, and I’m already LOSING MY MIND. But not because of insomnia. Because of puzzle websites, like notpron, thisisnottom, and the latest vlog from the Pottercast vlog series. Over and out.

{March 9, 2009}   Hour 0: I’m Up!

Finally. Yeah, sorry ’bout that. I didn’t get to sleep to about 2 in the morning, so I just slept until I woke up naturally, which was at about 11. I didn’t post right away because I want to keep this all in even numbers, because, let’s face it, after 60+ hours without sleep, the very idea of odd numbers will become difficult to comprehend, nonetheless adding them.

So, I’m claiming this, 12:00 (noon) on Monday, March 9th, 2009, as my starting time for purposes of these check-ins, but at 11 am on Thursday, March 12th, I may fall asleep if I so choose.

So, a bit of a late start for Epic Quest 2: Insomnia Harder, but given that this time I’ve had about 9 hours of sleep, instead of 5, I’m sure to fare far better.

Well, until next time (2 hours from now), I’ve got plans to make regarding tomorrow, an essay on rocks to write, and I think I know what I’ll be doing for my Choose-Your-Own-Paper for this class…

Peace!
